What to do in New River Gorge National River ?

Discover one of the world’s oldest water streams and explore its primitive forest.

• Canyon Rim Visiter Center, one and only visitor center in the park. Get all the necessary information about the scenic roads, climbing spots, hiking trails or even whitewater rafting.
• Hawks Nest State Park, from its peak you’ll get  some of the most beautiful panoramas. From June to October take the aerial cablecar down to the river and go on a short cruise.

What to do in Great Smoky Mountains National Park ?

• Mont Leconte, has some of the most beautiful hikes in the park.
• Clingmans Dome, third highest mountain of East Mississippi. Step in the futuristic observation tower and admire the impressive heights from the mountain top.

What to do in the Outer Banks ?

Discover the beautiful barrier islands of North Carolina. Explore the fragile strips of sand following the coastline on 160 km / 100 miles, with many white-sand beaches connected by bridges and ferries.

• Take Hwy 12, connecting the island’s of the Outer Banks to each other and drive at your own pace.
• Currituck Heritage Park, a bright yellow “Art Nouveau”-architecture building. Explore this 1920’s house, the main element of Corolla park.
• Go up Currituck Beach‘s lighthouse.
• Wright Brothers National Memorial, a historic site in the middle of Kitty Hawk dunes. Explore the place where the Wright brothers took the first plane ever for a flight.

What to do in Cape Hatteras ?

• Cape Hatteras National Seashore, spread over 113 km / 70 miles South of Nags Head down to the southern tip of Ocracoke Island. Explore these islands and their preserved nature at your own pace. Discover emblematic migrating birds along the swamps, forests, dunes and deserted beaches. An ideal place for calm and nature lovers !

What to do in Ocracoke Island ?

• Dewey Beach, small hamlet located less than 3 km / 1.8 miles South on Hwy 1. If you like partying, you’ll be pleased : the village is famous for its busy night life.
• Delaware Seashore State Park, located 5km /3.1 miles South. Enjoy the calm of this park and its sand dunes. A charming wilderness !
