What to do in Tijuana ?

A large modern and colorful city. 

• Walk along Avenida Revolución, main tourist attraction a few steps from the USA border. DIscover the shops, restaurants and art galleries on the avenue the locals call « La Revu » .
• Go to the main traditional market called « Mercado Hidalgo ». Buy fresh fruit, local cheeses and much more. Taste traditional Mexican candies or negotiate the price of a souvenir.
• Explore Centro Cultural Tijuana, a cultural complex called « La Bola » because of its spherical shape. Inside discover an IMAX movie theatre, a theatre and a permanent exhibition hall about the region’s history.
• Head to Plaza Santa Cecilia, one of Tijuana’s oldest plazas and get an idea of what a traditional Mexican city was and is now.
• Take the time to go to the beach. After short 30 min drive, you will get to the seaside city of Rosarito. Spend a lovely moment while enjoying the seafood restaurants, drinking a margarita or having fun in the ocean.

What to do in Ensenada ?

A cosmopolitan and delightful city. 

• Walk along the Malecón, a walkway by the ocean. You will surely notice the huge Mexican flag ! Stop in one of the many restaurants to have some local seafood.
• Climb up the top of « El Mirador » belvedere for a beautiful view over the city and its port.
• Visit the  Museo de Historia de Ensenada, a small museum telling the sorte of the regain and highlighting Lower California’s aboriginal tribes. A charming setting to learn about the local history.
• Live a fun experience at La Bufadora, 40 km / 25 miles South of Ensenada. Get splashed by the natural 30m /98 ft tall water when the waves crush against the cliff. All that in a beautiful setting !
• Explore one of the many vineyards surrounding the city like Bodegas de Santo Tomas and get to taste delicious local wines.

What to do in Bahía de los Ángeles ?

A small village between cacti desert and the sea of Cortez. 

• Love fishing ? Here is the ideal place to fish many different fish species, whether you are fishing from the shore or a boat !
• Go explore the bay’s 16 islands on a diving, kayak or jet ski expedition. Enjoy a incredible experience between June and November : swim out and get a closer look to the whale sharks !
• Visit the Sea Turtle Conservation & Research Center, North of city’s beach. Observe different turtles and learn about these reptiles.
• Want to learn more about the local history ? Head to the small city museum !

What to do in Bahía Tortugas ?

A small sunny and colorful city. 

• Discover this city almost unknown to tourists. Take advantage of that and go meet the locals !
• Enjoy the gorgeous view from the small beach at the bottom of the pier.
• Eat an amazing hot-dog from the small cart between the hill and the main road.
• Get on a short cruise to Isla Natividad for a breathtaking panorama !

What to do in San Ignacio ?

A city between a calm lake and a date palm, orange tree and fig tree oasis. 

• Visit the Museum of Cave Art, in the 18th century monument called « The Theatre ». Discover cave reproductions with several of the region’s wall paintings. There are also official museum guides to help you out.
• Do not miss the Mission San Ignacio, a religious building built by the Jesuits in 1728. You will notice its 7 oil paintings and baroque style altar made out of wood gold.
• For outdoors experiences, head to San Ignacio Lagoon. About 55 km / 34 miles away from the city. Go mountain biking, kayaking, surfing or whale watching (from February to March).

What to do in Loreto ?

A city of the Old and New World. 

• Visit Loreto Bay National Park, a preserved natural zone off the coast of Loreto. Get on a boat, go discover the park’s islands and go diving in what Cousteau called « The Aquarium of the World » !
• From December to March go for a day-trip to observe the hundreds of whales coming to give birth to their babies. Such a beautiful experience !
• Visit the Mission de San Javier, a must see in Baja California. Admire the beautiful oil paintings.
• Do not miss the oldest and first mission in the region : Mission de Loreto. The nearby museum and its 6 exhibition halls will let you learn about the region’s history.
• Go for an adventure and rent a kayak to discover Isla Dansante, a small island with tall cliffs (150 m/ 492 ft). You could even get to see seals and many different fish.

What to do in La Paz ?

The most Mexican city in Lower California.

• Discover one of the most well preserved ecosystem of the péninsule by going to Espiritu Santo Island. There, you will get to see sea lions, manta rays, dolphins and turtles.
• From December to March, head to Magdalena Bay to meet Alaska grey whalese. They come here to give birth to their babies. Beautiful moment !
• Do not miss the Cactus Sanctuary in Ejido El Rosario, a 50 ha botanical garden. Discover one of the largest cacti collection in the world.
• Enjoy the sun and gorgeons scenery at Balandra Beach. This white sand and translucent water beach is simply beautiful.
• Visit Todos Santos neighbourhood and discover local artists, painters and poets. Stroll through the streets between art galleries, craftsmen shops and quaint restaurants and get a feel of its colonial and authentic atmosphere

A seaside city. 

• Observe whale sharks, seals, sea turtles and thousands of fish species in an outstanding setting !

What to do in Cabo Pulmo ?

A small village in one of the most well preserved National Marine Park. 

• Get in your car and drive along the coastal road for a stunning view of the Sierra de la Laguna. Enjoy the gorgeous landscapes, alone on the road.
• Go diving, air tank on your back or just go freediving near the Pacific coral reef ! An unforgettable experience !

What to do in San José del Cabo ?

A mellow and natural city. 

• On Thursday nights, take part in the « Art Walk » and get to know the many art galleries in the city.
• Stroll around San José’s old city center and discover the calm shops, beautiful church, lively plaza and delicious restaurants.
• Take a dip on one of the besaces along Cabo San Lucas road, like Playa Santa María for example
• Surfers, be sure to check out the surf spots of Costa Azul, a short drive West of the city. They are even supposed to be better than the Hawaiian spots !
