⚠ IMPORTANT TIP ! It is recommended to go to the Canary Islands during low season (between October and May) if you don’t want to be stuck in traffic (especially in the very touristic South) !

The itinerary : step by step

What to do in Agaete ?

Agaete, the Spanish Crete.

• Stroll through the fishermen village’s streets and admire the architecture.
• Eat local food : fresh fish and delicious potatoes.
• Go for a swim in the gorgeous creeks’ translucent water.

What to do in Gáldar ?

On the Northern road, near Gáldar.

• Visit « Cueva Pintada » Archeological Park, where you will learn about the city’s history.
• We dare you to take a (good !) picture of the Iglesia Matriz de Santiago de Los Caballeros ! You’ll see it’s not that easy !
• Walk around Plaza Grande and enjoy the smell of flowers.
• Hikers, get your gym shoes on and hike up the mountains to get stunning panoramic view over Gáldar.
• Go diving by the beaches of Boca Barranco.
• Taste of one the city’s specialities, ewe and flower cheese.

What to do in Teror ?

Teror, a place of pilgrimage.

• Visit the Basílica de la Virgen del Pino at the heart of the village.
• Stroll around the farers’ market on Sunday mornings.
• Taste local products like chorizos and black pudding.

What to do in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ?

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the calm capital.

• You have to go to Playa de Las Canteras ? Enjoy the moment, relax, get an ice-cream and simply unwind !
• Stroll around the streets of the historic neighbourhood of Vegueta, discover Plaza Santa Ana and its huge cathedral, la Casa de Colón or the Museo Canario.
  If you are a party animal, this neighbourhood is made for you ! 
• Go shopping in the neighbourhood of Triana.
• Attend a show in Pérez Galdos Theatre.
• Enjoy the nice weather and go explore Parque Doramas, its palm trees, geese and waterfalls.
• In the city center, head to Parque de Santa Catalina where you will find many restaurants.
  Tip : get some delicious pizza near the police station ! 
• Experience Las Palmas Carnaval in February, its amazing atmosphere will amaze you !
• Go to the Vieja y Clavijo Botanical Garden where you will discover many Canarian plants ! Beware of the animale too ! Only true explorers will be able to get you out of there alive !
• Walk up to playa El Confital and go surfing on some of the island’s best waves. If you are more of a hiker, climb up the hill from which you ill get an amazing view over the city.
• Relax on playa La Laja, a black sand beach !
• If you need to go (grocery) shopping, go to Centro Comercial Las Arenas, a several story mall. .
• Eat some traditional food :  papas arrugadas, by Playa de Las Canteras.
• Feel like eating some delicious Italian food ? Go to the restaurant called El Piemonte by Playa de Las Canteras.
• Taste the best sweet white wine in the world (I’m not kidding !), the Nanay, at La Terminal Bar near the beach.

What to do in Telde ?

Telde, archeologic city.

On the way to Telde, stop and admire El bufadero de La Garita. Be sure to stop by Caldera de Bandama as well, a million of years old crater ! You will be speechless ! You will even get to taste cactus fruit, called prickly pear.

• Go explore Tufia and its black sand beach.
• Walk around the streets of the city center, the San Juan neighbourhood.
• Walk along the Bay of Gando.

What to do in Agüimes ?

Agüimes, a vacation city. 

• Stroll around the city’s historic neighbourhood.
• Visit Templo Parroquial de San Sebastián with its typical architecture.
• Admire the beautiful mountain landscape at Roc Aguayro.
• Archeology lovers, head to Mountain Agüimes.
• Try wind surfing on Playa Vargas.

What to do in Maspalomas ?

Maspalomas, endless coastal dunes (and many tourists !). 

• When the weather allows it, you’ll be happy to relax on Maspalomas’ beach and swim between other travelers.
• Walk through the Dunes of Maspalomas to get to Maspalomas’ Lighthouse, overlooking the city.
• Take the time to go shopping.
• Have fun in Holiday World Maspalomas.

What to do in Puerto de Mogán ?

Puerto de Mogán, heaven on Earth. 

Before getting to Puerto de Mogán, stop by the artificial Playa de Amadores. You will be amazed by the intensity of the bue water ! Stop by Puerto Rico too and relax with other international tourists.

• Eat the best paella on the island at El Caldero by the beach.
• Relax on the beach and go swim in the translucent water of Puerto de Mogán.
• Visit the village’s port, between restaurants and fishing boats.
• Go diving/snorkelling from the port.
• Go meet dolphins and whales on whale watching cruises.
